OUR HISTORY

In 2005, Arctic Chiropractic was founded by Dr. Walter Campbell, DC, to provide chiropractic care to remote areas in Alaska where chiropractic service was lacking.

Growing up in Barrow, Alaska, Dr. Campbell was acutely aware of the special needs of rural Alaskans and how difficult it was to receive quality health care. In many cases, a flight into Anchorage or Fairbanks was required to obtain health care services. Dr. Campbell therefore decided the next step in advancing chiropractic health care in Alaska was to bring it to the areas in Alaska that needed it most and had little or no access.

Bringing Chiropractic Care to Alaska

Following this axiom led Arctic Chiropractic to establish the Bethel Clinic in October of 2005 and then the Kotzebue Clinic in June of 2006, all the while maintaining monthly remote service to Healy and the residents of the Tri-Valley area. The West Mat-Su Clinic soon followed; located in the Meadow Lakes area, it was established to bring better chiropractic access to the communities of Wasilla, Meadow Lakes, Big lake, Houston, Willow and Talkeetna.

2007

In early 2007, the Arctic Chiropractic Fairbanks, and Arctic Chiropractic Anchorage offices opened their doors to provide service to these areas, and also to offer care for rural patients when they were travelling or relocated to these larger cities. Later in that same year, Arctic Chiropractic Delta went online serving the people of Delta Junction, Big Delta, Ft. Greely, and the Delta region.

Today

With the addition of the Dillingham and Healy locations which were opened in June 2008, the doctors at Arctic Chiropractic now proudly operate ten full-time, fully-staffed clinics throughout Alaska in addition to also providing monthly remote service to outlying, rural areas.
